Our Mission

Our mission is to empower career journeyers to discover and pursue fulfilling career paths. We strive to bridge the gap between academic and non-academic sectors, cultivating an environment where curiosity leads to opportunity and professional growth.

What We Do

We facilitate learning experiences for career journeyers through strategic planning, storytelling, experiential opportunities, and a supportive community. We work with universities, foundations, non-profits, and K-12 schools to fill their educational and professional development gaps and deliver inclusive and culturally-responsive one-off workshops and multi-week programs.

About

Thi Nguyen is driven to support others in finding fulfillment in their work - be that community work, professional work or a connection of both. Her journey weaves an interest in videos and learning, curiosity in how people learn, and desire to give people access to information. As a PhD-trained neuroscientist and virtual learning consultant, she enjoys creating resources and videos, and delivering workshops to guide professionals in telling their own personal and professional stories for impact.

Her expertise spans academic, corporate, and non-profit sectors across the Bay Area, Boston, and St. Louis. She is dedicated to cultivating supportive and inclusive learning environments. She’s had the joy of supporting science communities as a visiting scientist, grant writer, creator of InterSECT Job Sims, podcast host, and research storytelling coach. Her work has been funded by the NIH, Burroughs Wellcome Fund, USDA, and National Geographic.

Her community work includes grant writing for and directing programs for K-12 school gardens, developing curriculum for and teaching bioscience skills to high schoolers, and introducing US-based work systems to refugees and asylum seekers. She is also a dedicated mom and wife. Her story is one of continuous growth, aligning personal values with career goals, and striving to make a positive impact.
